Growing up with parents that are from Mexico that came here to California with nothing and barely an education. My parents were always on top of me about my education. Especially my dad who would always tell me " Mija buena educacion es lo mas importante que tener" my dads parents sadly had to choose when he was younger who would continue their education and who would have to quit school and get a job to help the family out. That was my dad who had to quit school. His brother went on with his education and became an attorney in Mexico. My dad was always very hard working so I would just have to worry about school and getting my education. It' still something we always tell our little ones about how important education is and how thankful we were to have had parents that pushed us so hard.

Going to school here in Sacramento I remember my elementary and middle school always talking about cutbacks in the school system citywide. We would always have all kinds of fundraisers selling candy bars, cookies, Christmas wrapping paper and even having to go door to door to ask for money for our school through I think they were called Jog-a-thons. We would get sponsored to run around in our schools field.

Our sons schools does not do that kind of fundraising so I'm glad that we have programs like Campbell's Labels For Education where you can collect labels, UPCs or beverage/sauce caps from  many of their participating products and earn stuff for your school. It's something we all come together and do family members PTA and other members in the community. Jon likes being able to help his school and scouting out which products have Campbell's Labels For Education.

We picked up some of our favorite snacks from Target yesterday and as you can see Jon and Juli couldn't keep their hands off the Goldfish until we got home. I heard them munching on them as soon as we left the Target parking lot. That will be our first Campbell's Labels For Education this school year.

With school back in session, it was time to create a new organization board for the year. We normally just put our Campbell's Labels For Education on the fridge in a little zip lock bag until we take them to the school. This time, I thought I would just add a little caddy to our board and the kids can easily drop them in the caddy.

I can't tell you how excited I was to finally make this board. Organization in this house is key to getting anything done and on time.

Items:
Foam Board
Hot glue gun
Small whiteboard
Small cork board
Small Caddy
ClipBoard
Colorful scrapbook paper
Chore chart

-Start organizing to your liking, I want a lot of color in our organization board. That way the kids are drawn to it. That's what I'm hoping for anyways.

On the caddy where we will put all our Labels For Education, I just glued the logo in the front.

All done!
